Fresh bread baked at dawn,
pantry goods thoughtfully sourced

Lefty's Silver Cart is a neighborhood bakery and grocer on Harrison Ave — where morning loaves share shelves with olive oil, spices, and everything your kitchen needs.

A cart with a purpose,
a shop with a soul

Lefty's Silver Cart started as a single推车 on a Boston sidewalk — one oven, one counter, one conviction: that your neighborhood deserves bread baked properly and groceries chosen with care.

Today we're a permanent fixture on Harrison Ave in the South End, still baking from dawn and still picking every item on our shelves like it's for our own table. We work with local millers, regional dairies, and producers who share our stubborn standard for quality.

Sourdough & Lean Breads

Seasonal Produce

What's ripe, what's local, what's worth eating — rotated with the calendar and sourced from farms we actually know by name.

Gifts & Catering

Custom charcuterie boards, holiday gift boxes, and small-batch catering for gatherings — just ask. We build it around what's best that week.

Three things we
refuse to compromise on

Ingredients first

We lead with what goes into the product, not how it's packaged. Flour milled within 100 miles, butter from dairies we visit, fruit from farmers we recognize. The rest follows.

Time, not shortcuts

Our sourdough ferments for 36 hours. Our stock simmers all day. We don't speed things up — we let them reach the point where they're ready, and we never sell anything before that.

Neighborhood, always

We're on Harrison Ave because this is our street. We know our regulars by name, we support the schools and causes nearby, and we'd rather lose money than stock something that doesn't belong here.
